Ownership History

Prior to 1998, the Korex plants in the west end of Toronto ON, and in Wixom, MI were owned by CCL Custom Manufacturing (a division of CCL Industries Inc.). In January 1998, the assets were purchased by Pensler Capital*, a privately held investment firm based in New York, NY.

  • In November 2006, the building and assets of Church & Dwight’s Chicago Midway facility were acquired providing our Customers with additional capability in an excellent logistics location.
  • In August 2002, the building and equipment of Unilever's Don Valley facility in the east end of Toronto were purchased, dramatically increasing Korex's capability to offer a complete array of products and services to its customers.
  • The Korex Companies employ over 500 employees in the US and Canada. Its facilities together offer more than 800,000 sq ft of manufacturing, packaging and warehousing space on over 70 acres of land.
  • Pensler Capital and The Korex Companies** will continue to seek out opportunities to expand capabilities and offerings for their customers.

*Pensler Capital Participates out ownership after acquisition and  retains management control

**Each of the Korex Facilities are independent operating companies with different legal and ownership structures
